I forgot! The last thing I wanted to write about.
I've been sewing. I'm a sewing machine (I love that pun). I'm working on my quilt, I've been mending and repairing everything possible. I hemmed a pair of jeans (with Myrtie, much fun, I love her<3) Myrtie and Toni (another quilting lady, and Myrtie's best friend) are going away for Labor Day weekend to celebrate their birthday's together. Myrtie's is the 18 and Toni's is the 23rd. So I quilted and sewed with those two and three other ladies from 9 am to 2 pm. It was so much fun. Myrtie is Mik's mom. Mik, the boy I thought I would marry, who asked me to marry him. Well, his parents adore me, even though he broke up with me a year ago in November, and I see Myrtie a lot. I actually went over the house Saturday morning to help Myrtie pack up a crock pot full of soup for us ladies as lunch and I saw Tim (Mik's dad, Myrtie's husband) who has always been very shy to me but it was great to see him. I met the new puppy, who is a black lab, pit bull mix, named Rutrow, after the Great Dane in Scooby Doo. Tim came up with that. He's the sweetest puppy, 80 pounds now, and he adores me.
I love that house and I love that family. If Mik wasn't planning on a stupid vasectomy, some teeny tiny part of me MIGHT want to get back together with him, but that reason and many other's nix that potential feeling, and so I just love his parents for right now. He found out I was hanging out with his mom and told her to stop. She said no and grow up. She's told me before she thinks he was stupid for breaking up with me, and I do wonder and sometimes wish it had worked out and how it would be right now if we were still together. A year ago right now, there was no doubt in my mind, I would marry him.
Their dog, Cocoa, poor girl, is 14 years old, and she just had a stroke. She's old and in pain, and Myrtie is begging Tim to take her to the vet's to have them put her down, but Tim is having a hard time letting go. Myrtie's boss has a Australian Red Shepherd puppies right now. She has one left and she's begging Myrtie to take her. The puppy is red, with white on her face and mesmerizing green eyes. Her name is Molly. Myrtie told me this and we laughed for a very long time and the irony and how Mik would think his mom had done it on purpose. Myrtie said she wouldn't change the puppy's name if she was able to take Molly and I appreciated that. She's fond of saying that Mik needs to suck it up and deal with it. I love her. She calls me sweetheart.
Ok MUST go!
