NCIS gave me a new word a while ago. "Hypethermia". You know the word "hypothermia"? Well, hypethermia in a nutshell, means too hot. The exact opposite of hypothermia's in a nutshell meaning of too cold. I found this fascinating.
I do think that there is a direct correlation between when I'm overheated and when I have a migraine/headache. Today was another day (thankfully not frequent days) when I woke up incredibly hot and with a dreadful headache that blossomed into a full-grown migraine. I don't really understand why the two seem to go together, but they do. And this is not the first time I've woken up with this problem. When you wake up with any ailment, as soon as your conscious registers what's wrong and the natural inclination to open your eyes occurs, its like everything can, could or is sucked right out of you. Your energy, zest for the day, excitement, geniality, might be stripped away. In the case of one of my migraines that is indeed the case. My mood didn't really drop to the floor, but I felt very quiet, withdrawn, not wanting to move. I'd actually had things i wanted to get done today but suddenly they were not longer options as long as the migraine refused to cease and desist.
I feel better now. Thank goodness.
Sophie has me looking up all showtimes for Robin Hood for tomorrow. And that's all the showtimes, at all the theaters around us. She now has 25 or so to choose from. She'll complain I overcompensated, but she's the one who doesn't know when she'll be able to go, I'm just being practical.
It is Saturday night and I have no plans. That's fine with me for now, I do have more than one thing to read and I think I will have a solitary marathon of NCIS. It's been a very long time and Sophie and has made more use of these DVDs than I have. Well, I think I've neglected them in that case.
I'm going to turn my fan on again. My room gets so hot in the summer.
