I finished my book. I feel like a little kid who just learned how to read, I'm that proud. Finally, finished a book that I started when I was still working. Maybe now that I'm not I'll be able to read at the pace I used to read. It was sad how little I was able to read. This relates to the newspaper too. Once I started my book I was involved with the story and the characters and I would see it and long to crack it open again. But I had to keep putting it off. That's not a good thing to do, not with a book. The things people put off are usually a bit more unpleasant. A chore for example. When you start putting off something that you love to do, it's not good for you and it means you have to reteach yourself to enjoy it as much as you did before.
I finished this book. I'm thinking I might take a break and not start a new one yet. I'm not ready to start the cycle all over again. I want to wait until I have all the time I want to read it.
For now, I'm satisfied.
P.S., the book is by Lisa Scottoline and it is called Look Again. I was on the hunt for it for almost a full year before I finally found it. I think part of the problem in my search was that when I first read about it, it hadn't even been released yet. But did I know that? No. Anyway, I found it, I loved it, and I recommend it.
