So to recap it all.
Friday, at LGH (Lowell General Hospital)
I got to drive. Finally. I hadn't gotten to drive for awhile.
I went to the hospital and had blood drawn, no problem there. Then my mom and I went to the cafeteria and I ate half of a banana because I realized I hadn't eaten yet that day. The banana was really not very tasty which is why I only ate half of it.
We went down to the MRI department and there I got to fill out a clipboard of papers with questions and boxes of "yes" or "no" answers to check off. Then I got to go change into a pair of blue surgical scrubs and go onto a platform thing which is then switched on and goes UP like an elevator to get to the small floor area with computers and then the door to the MRI machine. I'm not sure why I had to ride up, there were 5 stairs as another option.

I know the routine. Hop onto the flat panel thing, this time I was given a blanket, which helped me not be cold, something I was worried about. I got the earplugs, the head protecter/cage thing was closed and the panel began to slowly move back into the tube of the machine.
Honestly, I don't really enjoy the details of MRIs. There's all different types of sounds, banging, grinding, bumping, clicking, scraping, beeping, all different ones as different images are taken. The ceiling of the tube was maybe a foot from my nose and it felt very close indeed. Those things are the only thing that's really ever given me the experience of claustrophobia.
I was in for 20 minutes, the panel slide back out and a nurse injected the contrast dye into my arm and I went back in for 7 more minutes of pictures. I was so glad when she finally let me OUT. She told me not to sit up to fast, but I really didn't care if I passed out cold, I wanted to GET OUT OF THERE. I was allowed to keep the scrubs, so I changed into my normal street clothes as fast as possible and booked it out of there.
Mom let me drive again, we went to CVS and then we went home. And that was Friday.
